ABR ORGANICS LIMITED (ABROL), an ISO-9001-2000 company, was founded in 1991 by Dr. K.V.C. Rao, formerly employed at Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). With the license from ISRO and financial assistance from Industrial Development Bank of India, the company started manufacturing polyimide resins at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.

High quality manufacturing unit supported by state-of-art quality control laboratory overseen by quality assurance department ensure that our products always perform beyond the customers’ requirements. Our core competence is Research & Development, wherein a team consisting of highly qualified chemists, engineers and technologists are at work constantly to develop new grades of polyimides and their applications.
K.V.C. Rao, Ph.D., Founder, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, is an eminent polymer chemist with over three decades of research and management experience. He has received several awards in recognition of his contribution to the field of chemistry and polymers. Author of many peer reviewed technical articles, patents, Dr. Rao has nurtured the research culture at ABROL and has inculcated the habit of uncompromising quality into the company’s work ethics.
A highly qualified and dedicated team is in charge of quality management, which constantly monitors the quality of raw materials, production processes and final products. ABRON polymers have been accepted for critical space, aerospace and defense applications, which speaks volumes of the high quality standards being maintained. Recent accredition by as an ISO 9001 – 2000 is a testimonial in itself.
Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, has recognized the R&D laboratories of the company in the field of polyimides and phenolic resins and have provided financial grant-in-aid for upgrading the laboratories. In-house R&D has yielded many grades of polyimide resins, monomers, reactive diluents and special grades phenolic resins.
The company also undertakes contract research at its R&D laboratories to develop polymer products and processes. The processes developed in the laboratory are scaled up to pilot plant scale for demonstration and to ensure a smooth technology transfer. ABROL offers the opportunity to manufacture any products developed for the clsients.
Dr.Dinesh Bothra, Ph.D in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, USA, is one the Directors of ABROL, and extends his valuable experience in providing a direction to the organisation.

Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, has recognised the R&D efforts of the company in the field of polyimides and phenolic resins. In-house R&D has resulted in culminated in developing many grades of polyimide resins, monomers, reactive diluents and special grades phenolic resin. The company also undertakes contract research at its R&D Center. Continuous Research & Development backed by stringent quality control in manufacture are the supporting pillars of ABROL production.
Expansion plans for future
A proposal is being planned for the manufacture of polyimide based composites and polyimide foams for electrical insulation & Thermal and acoustic insulations.. The polyimide laminates find application in traction motors and heavy electrical and foams in Space & Aerospace Industries
